"I would like the information about the Casads, I am a direct descendent of Alice, she was my great grandmother."
My information show that Alice Cased, 19 Oct 1872 - 1932, had one child, Oliver Clarence Burt, 3 Feb 1909 - . Were there other brothers? Natalie, are you a descendent of Oliver and Mary Frances?

I grew up in La Union NM off of Casad Rd. and Salgado Rd. If you want to learn more about this area and your great uncle take a look at the Federal Writers Project in the Library of Congress. I'm telling you, someone can make a movie out of some of the story's these oldtimers tell.

Federal Writers Project in the Library of Congress. , I am not aware as to how to get there. Can you post a URL/Web address. There is a book which I just got a quick look at the draft about a week ago which is a results of extended research of Thomas and Sarah (Sallie) Casad had in the life of the Mesilla Valley done by the New Mexico Southern University. I understand it will be available on Amazon soon. "Rick Hendricks, who is now the state historian of New Mexico, did the research and first draft." As soon as I am told the timing of when it is available, I will post it.
