Surnames: Carter, George, Ford, Crundwell, Saunders, Woollam, Hancox, Thompson, Harrison
Rosina GEORGE was born in Liverpool (Toxteth Park/West Derby) circa 1862. She was called "Rose." Her parents were John GEORGE and Ann HANCOX. John was widowed and married several times. Rose's siblings were Elizabeth, John Jr., William, Sarah Ann (my paternal grandmother), Alfred, Harriet, Herbert George, and a half-brother Alfred Hancox, who may have died at a young age. Family lived at 86 Wellington Road, Toxteth Park, Liverpool, in the 1860s/70s/80s.

Their neighbors in Liverpool were Frederick THOMPSON (a mariner), wife Elizabeth, and children Clara, Fred and Martha, who I believe were relatives.

"Rose" GEORGE married a man named CARTER. I don't have a first name for him. They lived in Poulton Le Fylde in England. (?Preston). They apparently had two daughters, Rose Marie Carter who married and lived in Poulton Le Fylde, and Edith who "went to Argentina." I have a photo of Edith in a gorgeous long dress who apparently "married well," lived in Rosario, San Martin.

Rose (George) Carter used to correspond with my cousin Kathleen (Ford) CRUNDWELL in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England, and my uncle Bernard FORD in the Milwaukie/Portland, OR area.

Kathleen (Ford) Crundwell's father was Alfred E. Ford, born in Liverpool, parents Michael Ford from Ireland and Liverpudlian Sarah Ann George (Rosina's sister). Kathleen's mother was Ethel. They were living with her father, Leonard SAUNDERS, 68 St. James Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England in 1931.

There is also an Ethel MOUNSEY or MOUNSLEY who appears in old family photos connected with these families. Also have a notation of an "Aunt N. ("Nellie?) CARTER, Poulton Le Fylde. Is there a place there that was called "The Gables?"

John GEORGE JR. immigrated to the USA, married Martha WOOLLAM and they and their children lived in the Orinesville, Sherman and Corsicana areas of Texas. Children: Blanche, Maynard ("M.B.") and Gordon George. Maynard GEORGE married Joyce HARRISON.
