This Giles Carter may be the same Giles Carter listed in the Will of Rebecca Evans-Carter. Some of the Legatees in the Estate records for Rebecca Evans-Carter may be children of this Giles Carter.


Rebecca Evans-Carter (widow of Robert Carter of Laurens County, Georgia) wrote her Will in 1844 and died about five years later. Apparently Rebecca and Robert did not have any (surviving) children. She left her estate to the children of her siblings and the children of Robert's siblings. The Evans nieces and nephews were to receive half and the Carter nieces and nephews were to receive half.
