I am researching the Carson lineage and have hit a brick wall...the following infor mation is what I have, but I am strongly leaning to the fact my Carson's came to the US by way of New Jersey to Pennsylvania then Ohio before traveling into WV.

Randolph Carson-my father born in 1939 in Wayne county, WV
James Herbert Carson-my grandfather born in 1902 in Cabell County, WV
George Clifford Carson-my great grandfather born in Lawrence county, OH
John H. Carson-my 2nd great grandfather born in Muskingam county, OH

Here is where I am lost.....There seems to large amounts of George Carson's from Pennsylvania, and I can't make a definite connection. I do know that my grandfather had a brother and named Arthur David and a few sisters, and I have also seen some George Carson's listed with family members with the names of Arthur and Clifford as siblings,which are still names in my tree in later generations. I just can't determine which one's might be the direct line I am looking for.

Any help would be appreciated.
