YOUNGSTOWN - Leslie Ezell Carson, 42, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at 1:55 p.m. at Mahoning Valley Hospice House, Poland, Ohio.
Miss. Carson was born July 17, 1972, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Lester Edward Carson and Norma Benefield.
She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1990, and attended Akron University and Youngstown State University.
She was employed at the United Methodist Center as a community leader for 16 years.
She was a member of St. Andrewes A.M.E. Church, Williams-Heath Missionary Society, The Gail and Bill After School Organization, and a member of a book club
. She loved planning bus tours to New York, and loved to read.
She leaves her mother, Norma Carson of Youngstown; two sons, Christian Carson and Noah Alexander Carson, both of Youngstown; one brother, David Carson of Youngstown; two aunts, Paula Mauzy and Denise Benefield, both of Youngstown; one uncle, George Mauzy of Youngstown; and two cousins, Brian and George Mauzy, both of Youngstown.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lester Edward Carson, and her grandparents. Services will be Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at noon at St. Andrewes A.M.E. Church.
