For whatever reason, I just now saw your inquiry from 2005 regarding Alexander Carson born 1809 who married Elizabeth Disney in OH. Do you have records as to Alexander being a son of a David Carson in NC (Haywood Co)? David Carson born c1760 (wife Catherine) was my ancestor. I know of children named Robert (c1788-1790), Matthew c1793, Catherine 1795, Virginia Jane 1797, Ambrose 1799, and Samuel Carson 1801. There were possibly 4 more females born 1790-1810 (names unknown). The males are accounted for I think.

The Alexander first name shows up in PA and NC connected to branches of my Carson line. An Alexander Carson in KY (Greene Co) witnesses the will of John Carson dec'd c1822, and this John Carson's descendants are matches on YDNA with my Carson line. This John Carson born 1747 arrived in Chester Co SC 1768 and connects with a Mary Harbison there who died 1800. Mary left her land there to "my son Alexander Carson"...this Alexander was probably the one in KY later.
