I'm trying to determine the children of John E. Carrington born 1794-1799 Orange Co NC and wife Polly Ashley born 1800 (married 29 April 1818 Orange NC). John E. was the son of Ephraim Carrington and his first wife and was a brother of Sion/Sihon. John E. may have married a first wife Jenny Smith in Orange NC. There is a record of that marriage dated 29 Jan 1816. If so, she died soon thereafter and he married Polly.

John E. and Polly Carrington were in Orange Co 1820, then in Carroll TN 1830 and Henderson Co TN 1840. Children of John E. would be

Sarah Carrington born 1827

Their daughter, Sarah Carrington born 1827 is my 3g grandmother. I found a Mark Carrington in 1850 Carroll TN born 1816 who could be the oldest son. Anybody have any hints on these children? They were all still in the household in 1840.
