Interesting information…
I wanted to confirm what Timothy and what Asa we are talking about. I have a Timothy 1789-1856 who was married to Mary Lane. This Timothy was a brother to Thomas (1782-1874), and was the son of Samuel (1754-1818). According to our research thus far, this Timothy remained in Kentucky and passed at Salt Lick Kentucky. This Timothy did not have a son named Asa that we’ve discovered as of yet.
As we understand it, there was a brother to Samuel (1754-1818) named Timothy, but we have no information on this timothy. I assume this is the Timothy you speak of, Samuel's brother. This Timothy’s father was of course our John Carrington who was father to both Timothy and Samuel (1754-1818). If this is the case we don’t have much new information about their parents as of yet.
In regard to Asa, we have an Asa who was a son of Thomas (1782-1874). This Asa (1818-1888) was well documented in the line of Thomas Carrington. He is buried in Indiana. We have a William Asa as well but he came much later in 1884… and also is in the line of this same Thomas, and a grandson to the above Asa of 1818.
Do you have a copy of the manuscript “The Family of Samuel Carrington 1754-1966?”
Can I ask how you obtained your 1997 book?
Do you have a public family tree of this line of Timothy and Asa you speak of?
Thanks,
Cortland
