FADDIS, ANDREW (1870 U.S. Census)

CARROLL, PIPERS GAP TWP
Age: 62,

Series: M593 Roll: 1639 Page: 489
Dwelling 170, Family 175, Enumerated 19 Aug 1870.
-Andrew
Faddis, 62, m/w, farmer, $720/$1076, VA, citizen.
-Mary [
Carrico]
Faddis, 62, f/w, keeping house, VA, cannot write.
-Caroline
Faddis, 19, f/w, at home, VA.
-Caroline
Carrico, 79, f/w, at home, VA, cannot write.
Do you know who these two Carolines are?
We have only 2 children for Andrew and Mary:
William 14 and Elizabeth 9 on the 1850 Census.
On the 1860 Census only Andrew & Mary are listed and Caroline would have been 9.
We have only one wife for Mary’s father , Peter --Nancy
Wilkerson who died 1850. And we have Peter dying 1865.
Did Peter marry again to a Caroline who would be the 79 year old?
Or maybe she is from a branch of the family we have no info on.
We have no other info on Elizabeth
Faddis b. abt 1841 but she would be 29 in 1870.
Any thoughts?
