I am helping a friend look for a ancestor. His name is Joseph Carrico. He was born in 1810 in Hardin County Kentucky. Married 4 October 1834 in Laretto, Kentucky. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Riney. Does anyone know who his parents are? Thanks in advance for your help.

I will try to help research this, as well. My mother is a Carrico and is in Powhatan, Va. The Carrico side of her family is traced to Northern Virginia as far back as the mid-1800s. Not only is the name prominent in Northern Italy, but there is a Port de Carrico in Portugal. We believe this is where our lineage began.

My family has been traced to a Joseph Carrico, born 1780-1790, died 1847 in Grayson Coo, VA, and married to a Patsy Isom in 1813. I'm descended from a son -- Alexander, born abt 1811. I have no records a Joseph born in 1810, but maybe this will give you a lead. Please feel free to contact me if you think there is a connection and good luck.

I was told a long time ago that my ancestors came from france but originated in italy, but no one else in the family seems to have heard this story, so I was excited to see you message. Can you supply me with your source of information on Peter Carrico Sr birth? I am descendant of his son Barthlomew. Thanks so much.
