Some years ago I overheard some discussions which weren't intended for me to hear. First of all, this CARR family is not related to me except maybe in some sort of off-hand way.

A CARR child (then an adult), called a friend of our family and asked if they were related. This CARR child and her siblings apparently were either adopted or were in foster care. The friend of the family gave her an answer of "NO". However, she lied, saying the past was the past and the children were better off where they were.

My mother is the only person still living who has information about this CARR family. I do not know the details. My mom is getting old.
