Am searching for other descendants of the father of Florencio Carmona (name unk) who lived in La Cruz, Chihuahua in the late 1800's. Florencio's father married a daughter of Don Pablo Marquez, a rich land-owner, and the girl was disowned. His father and mother moved to a place called Arguello de Montosa. Florencio was born at Rio Pecos. It is believed this branch of Carmona's originated in Portugal or Guatemala, moved to Mexico. Florencio's father may have been captured by Aoaches and a General of either the Americans who were fighting for Texas Independence or the Mexicans sold him to Don Pablo Marquez who raised him as his son, but after Don Pablo's death, and his grand-daughter's marriage to Florencio's father, Don Pablo's heir ran them out of the hacienda. They went to live with the Indians in Arguello de Montosa. Florencio's descendant's live in Southern California and would like to know if any other Carmonas have heard a similar story and are related.
Thank you,
