I thought I had the death details of my Jane Holliday who married Francis Carlill 24th November 1846 Welton right, but now I think I'm mistaken. I was led to believe she was buried in Elloughton on 22nd March 1910 Elloughton as Jane Hannah Carlill . The GRO index gives her as Jane Hannah Carlill. The monumental inscription gives her birth as 24th April 1825. I have Jane's details with her husband Francis Carlill up to the 1871 census but I hadn't been able to find her on the 1881, 1891 or 1901 census. I thought perhaps she may have left the area when Francis died. I've discovered that she actually married a George Barker after Francis died. I've found their marriage and details of her and George on the 1881 census but not on any later ones. I think the death in 1910 is Jane Hannah Carlill, single, a bonnetmaker, the daughter of William Carlill. They lived next to our Jane and Francis on a couple of the census records but I'm not sure if they are related. Their Jane is the same age on the census records. My Jane Holliday was christened ( no mention of the middle name Hannah) on 14 Feb 1827 Cavil to George Holliday and Martha Gregory. Jane Hannah Carlill's inscription on her headstone says she was born 24th April 1825. My Jane could have been christened quite a while after her birth but she wouldn't have had her death registered as Carlill if she'd been married to George Barker. Does anyone have the death certificate of Jane Hannah Holliday in 1910 or can you tell me what happened to my Jane Holliday (later Carlill, then Barker)?
