We have now determined that John and Sarah Sherwood Carley's first born son was Abraham, b. @ 1732 in Fairfield, CT. Abraham married Susannah Unknown - possibly Jackson, as Abraham bought his homestead from an Ephriam Jackson in 1749. Abraham and Susannah had children noted by Daniel Lines Jacobus as Joel, b. bef. June 26, 1748; Martha, b. bef Sept 9, 1750; Job, b. bef. feb 24, 1754; Albert A., b.175?; Johnathan, b. Jan. 1757;
Abraham died in 1758 and his widow remarried a cousin of Abraham's - Thaddeus Gray - in Feb. 1759 in Weston, CT.

Abraham's siblings include; John m. Rebecca Gould and Sarah m. Joseph Griswold. Possibly a Joseph and a James.
The older Abraham, b 1711 m. Susannah Brookins, d. 1790, Hillsdale, Columbia, NY was a brother of the John who m. Sarah Sherwood, do David and Sarah Meeker Sherwood.
John and Abraham were sons of Seaman William and Mary Boaden/Bowden Carley, and the William Carley/Cearley was probably also a son of William and Mary's.
