I realize that this is an old message board, but perhaps you can help me. I have hit the proverbial brick wall. There are two brothers - Gedeon Carignan (b1850 in Quebec) and Louis Benjamin (b 1852 in Quebec) Gedeon had 7 children, all born in Rhode Island. He married Philomene. Louis had 4 children, one of whom was my grandmother. Louis and Gedeon's parents were "PIERRE and MARIE". That is all the information I have. Death certificates only put the mother's name as Marie. Are you able to help with some of the mystery? Who are Pierre and Marie? All help is much appreciated. Alicia Audette
