I am trying to find the parents of ISLEY R. CARICO (bn 1905), ALONZO M. CARICO (bn 1912) and GAINES H. CARICO (bn 1918). They are all listed in the 1930 Scott Co., VA census as the grandsons of Emily M. Carico. I believe Enily M. is Margaret Emily Dockery, the wife of James A. Carico. I have not found ISLEY, ALONZO or GAINES in any 1920 census. Thank you for any help you can give me.

I read Gaines as James. If you also check the 1910 census, you come up with a total of four grandchildren for Margaret Emily __?__, wife of James A. CARRICO (birth/death dates from the SSDI):

1. Isley R. CARRICO, b. 17 Feb 1905; d. 23 Jan 1992; m. Nannie GILLENWATER
2. Audley L. CARRICO, b. 16 Sep 1907; d. 7 Oct 1993; m. Rosa Ellen PETERS
3. Alonzo M. CARRICO, b. 1 Jan 1912; d. Aug 1975
4. James H. CARRICO, b. 15 Apr 1918; d. 13 Feb 2000

I suspect all four are the illegitimate children of Margaret's unmarried daughter, Mary E. CARRICO (b. Nov 1884, VA). I can find Margaret Emily in 1920, but not her daughter or grandchildren. For all I have at the moment, please see this family group sheet at my web site:
