Hello everyone. My name is Domingo Carattini. I'm 27 years old turning 28 on August 8. My fathers name is also Domingo Carattini, and so was his father. I dont know much about that side of the family being that my mother and father didnt work out. I rarely see my father anymore but I do see my uncle from time to time. Hes a Jersey City Sergent in the Police Department. I know that my grandfather and grandmother came from Puerto Rico along time ago. I heard storys that he was kicked out for marrying a woman the family did not like at all. So he moved to Jersey City with her and had his children here.

Where a pretty big family here from what I hear. I've been trying to find out where my last name came from for a long time. My mother is straight up puerto rican, and from what I had thought, so was my father. But I got alot of Italan people who hear my last name and ask, "Are you Italan?" I tell them no, but they all say its an Italan last name. So this led me on my journy of finding out where I come from.

Who are the Carattinis? How did they get to puerto rico? Am I part of that bloodline? Do i have other family out there that is bigger then I thought? I hope to hear from someone who can please shed light on this.
