Searcing for an adopted Caraballo
I began my search for clarity of my direct family ancestry when my mother told me the sad story of my half uncle. It seems that only the eldest five are aware of my uncles existence. My granmother had a total of eigt children. Five from her first marriage and two from her second marriage. The one who was born before her second marriage and after her first was born in Utuado Municipal hospital to Serafin Caraballo, his biological father, and Felicita Vargas. Considering the climate of behavioral mores it is understndable why this was kept under wraps to most everyone in the family. The child was raised by the father and his wife. As much as it pained my grandmother to give up her child her decision was based on quality of life. The father was financialy well off and he and his wife were estactic about having this beautiful baby boy to love. My mother has been searching for her half brother for a long time now and it would be her happiest of days when she finally gets to see the little brother whose blood runs through her. My mom is 78 years old and healthy yet she fears that she will leave this earthly home at any time because one never knows whats around the corner. Serafin's son has a hugh family and would be most welcomned into it. The birth date would be about 1930 to 1935. My mother heard that the Caraballo family left Utuado when the child was about two years old. to where we don't know. It's all the information we have. Should this story seem familiar to anyone out there please do not hesitate to respond ASAP. We would be forever grateful. thank you, NVS

Unfortunately, I don't know enough of the family history to give any insight. The branch of the family tree I am under is torn by disagreements and feuding. I have met many Caraballo in the Mid-west and New England, and can't find a common relatives. As we try to piece together a history we find that there are secrets and bad blood. My apologies, Jose J Caraballo "kongo"

It is suprising to see so many Caraballos responding. I am looking for an old friend of mine that grew up with me in Brooklyn. I lived in Brownsville and we attended David Marcus Jr. high. Her name is Damaris. Her brother Raymond was my best friend but he died very young. Gilbert was the oldest brother. We were all very close. If anyone knows of this family please reply
