I just came across your post from 2000. I would love to know more about your grandmother, Julia Bates, and her connection to Thomas Caperton and the Caperton's of Sebastian County, Arkansas. I am of this line. There are still many Caperton family members in Sebastian County, Arkansas who descend from Thomas Caperton.
