I'm looking for any information on my Great Grandfather, Herman Cappelle. More speifially I was intrested in info on his parents and how he died.

What I have found of him is that he was born in Germany on 18 Jan 1865 and came to America at the age of 12. He moved from one coast to another, married in NY and moved to Chicago, IL with his new family. He died in 1916 at the age of 51, a few months after my Grandmother, Hazel was born.

As for his parents, from what I found his Father was named Charlie Cappelle, and lived his whole life in Germany. As for Herman's Mother, all I found was her name was Witchowsky. I'm assuming thats a maiden name but who knows.

I know its a long shot, but I'm hoping I can find something on him and his life. Thanks
