Hi,
Yes, Israel was my grandfather. He lived in Waterloo, Quebec on Lewis Street until he died in 1957, he had 6 children and his wife (Marie Houle) died within a few weeks of having thier 6th child. His son Omer Caouette (my uncle) still lives in the family house.
Message if you would like more info.
Cheers,
Cathy

Hello Caouette,

I am seeking any info on my great-grandfather Francis/Francois or later, Frank Houle. He was born in Feb 1868 and at age 21 ran off to join the Union Army in Montana. By 1900 he was married to my GGrandmother and living in St. Clair county, Illinois. All I can see is that he was supposedly born in Quebec. I also have a very old picture of a woman named Madame Delia Houle who might have older. I often wonder if I have Canadian cousins. Do you have any suggestions to help me find more info on him?

Thanks, Lisa
