CANN in Ontario

I have begun the long process of doing a "one-name study" on the name CANN in Ontario public record, beginning 1869. I have recorded all the B-M-D's in public record INDEX, and have begun the process to identify the FILM NUMBERS for each record. Then I can look up the actual REGISTRATIONS. Our local Family History Centre in Edmonton Alberta has almost all the early films, since most western settlers came through Ontario.
I am working on marriages first and have transcribed marriages from 1869 up to 1885 to date.
I am willing to share with anyone who will identify to me their own family line so that I can place these in the correct lines. I can send you film number, registration number and basic information that was included in registration.

Surnames: CANN in England, Ontario and PEI.
Margaret, I can help you with the Thomas & Mary Cann family. Please e-mail me direct at ljdwater@verizon.net.
Some of the children stayed in Ontario and spread across the US from there and some went directly to PEI where Thomas' son James immigrated to in the 1840's.

I am looking for information regarding Robert Cann. He was married to MArgaret Askin in 1867 but they had at least 2 children who were born and died before 1880 and 5 other children who were born before they moved to what is now Saskatchewan, to homestead (Before 1901). Robert Cann immigrated to Canada about 1858 from Tiverton, England. He may have other family that immigrated with him but I have no other information about him. If you have any information regarding this family I would love to hear from you.

This Robert Cann is also one of my "brick walls". He was my great great grandfather and I have not been able to find anything regarding his origins. Family tradition has him born in Tiverton, England 28 May 1827 but other than that he is a blank slate. I am even trying the DNA route to find his ancestry but no luck so far.
