William Cann b. 1800 app South Tawton Devon England married (1823) Ruth Heale b. 1805 app South Tawton or Throwleigh. Ruth died 1837.
They had six children;
John, baptised October 26, 1823, South Tawton. I am a descendant of John who married Elizabeth Wonnacott.
Harriett, baptised April 16, 1826, Throwleigh
George, baptised May 18, 1828, Throwleigh
Grace, baptised June 9, 1833, Throwleigh
Mary Ann, baptised March 8, 1835, Throwleigh
Buried Throwleigh, July 1, 1838, 3 years.
Elizabeth, baptised February 12, 1837, Throwleigh
Buried Throwleigh, June 25, 1837, 4 months.
William then married (1838) Susannah Leaman b 1806 app South Tawton. They had three children
Ann 3 b. 1838c. South Tawton
Eliza 9 b. 1842c South Tawton Eliza probably married John Counter 33, b. 1838c South Tawton.
William 4 b. 1847c. South Tawton
William may have been the illegitimate son of Jane Cann of South Tawton. Requires further research.
