Samuel H. Canady, born 1779 in Hanover, NH. married Sally Miller from Corinth, Vt. Samuel became a doctor. They moved to Clark county, Oh in early 1800s. Had 11 children. Have more info if related.

I will start with my father ,John Edward Canady,Cortland [cort] Canady,William Tell Canady, Thomas Eward,married 3 times last marriage to an [ Argo ] mother to william tell canady thomas edward Canady's parents maybe from vermont.I will have to look for the names of children of thomas edward canady do you have an Arron thomas canady or a lilly canady ?she married a UNKNOWN [ HORN ] IF you can find all my messages on the boards you will find a copy of a letter written by a canady to a sister talking about a doctor canady ,in the letter there is no names mentioned.... you may find on canady boards my name or fred underwood,hope to hear from you. Hello,this is fred underwood,JoAnn wrote you last time so I thought I would write this time . We found a letter in our mothers old mail drawer in her room .Thomas Canady's father came from Ireland to springfield Ohio where he owned 800 acres of land but true to Irish custom gave all he had to his eldest son.He had eleven sons and two daughters and was educated for doctor M.D.in Ireland.Thomas was married three times-first to O.Eva Huffman and had Jashua,Cynthia,Nagle,and Thomas Aaron.I don't know the second wife's name.he had Guy by that marriage.he then married Johanna Argo Miner,she was first married to Justice Miner and had Mary,Matilda,William, Jesse Franklin,and Alvin Justice-only 2,Mary and Frank lived to be adults-She and Thomas Canady had Joy born feb.14-1858,Dora Thompson bornfeb.19,1860,WILLIAM TELL born dec.21,1862,and Lillie Horn born july 18,1864-Joshua and Thomas Aaron served in Civil war and afterwards Thomas became a Methodist minister.Does this sound close to your info? My husband is Arlas Sluss, his father was Ira Randolph Sluss Jr., his father was Ira Leonard Sluss, and his mother was Connie Frances underwood, her father was Rufas Randolph Underwood, and his father was Andrew Jackson Underwood. Now that brings me to Arlas's ggggrandfather and ggggrandmother. Joshua Underwood his wife was Mary Underwood, Joshua's father was William Underwood and thats as far as i can go on that side. Mary Underwood's father was Joseph Underwood and his wife was Ellen Justice. Joseph's father was Samuel Underwood Jr. and his wife was Misniah ( Misnier) Cannaday. Samuel's Jr. father was Samuel Underwood Sr. and his wife was Anne Travilla. Samuel Sr. father was Alexander Underwood and his wife was Jane Speakman. Alexander's father was Samuel Underwood and his wife was Mary Ann Wilcox. Samuel's father was Thomas Underwood and his wife was Elizabeth Meeres and her parents were John Meeres and Mary French before 1600 . What i am wanting to know is more about the cannadays, justice's, and Underwood's or any info. would be appriciated on any of these familys.

We have not much on our Underwood or canady lines ,my husbands underwood roots are in Canada. his brick wall is 1850 census on his gggrandfather John Underwood their first four children born in england,next 5 children born in canada,all freds great grandfathers family stayed in canada ,but two sons came west to alaska and to Oregon[ his grandfather George H Underwood ] fred is searching for info. on his great grandfather [ john underwoods brothers & sisters,we can not find them in canada,they had to have moved down to U.S.A..my Canady line has many spellings CanadA,canaday,cannaday,cannady [ my father said to me that it was even spelt Kennedy] I have a justice minor who married to Thomas canady 1850's [Iowa,Ohio] where are you ? are your underwoods from england or USA? and where are your canadays from ? fred does not know any of your underwood names ,but he does have a william,joseph,george,mary,elizabeth,hannah[girl ],john, all in canada,early 1800's ,,,keep in touch okay? mr & mrs frederick & JoAnn "Canady" underwood . we are waiting for info. on underwood related to the Sweeton,Stout line . in Missouri. my canadys that I have found, start in Vermont, and Ohio

Thank you for responding. Me and my husband are here in Jumping Branch West Virginia.The underwood line on my husbands side comes from england. What i have shows that Thomas Underwood was born in England around 1620 and died around 1683 in Maryland. The Cannaday line I dont have much on, just that Misniah (misnier) Cannadaywas born around 1746 and married Samuel Underwood around 1768. Her father was William Cannaday Sr. I dont know anything about him except his wife was a Nancy and he was in a Franklin Co. Va. census. If i find anything out on your side ,i will let you know.

I have information on a Samuel Canady in Corrinth, Vermont born about 1779. He was listed as a M.D. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
