I believe he was born in Dognahedee (sp?), Down, Ireland around 1809. He immigrated to Canada in 1828. Passenger Immigration lists him with Katherine Brown - not sure if that was his wife or not. I believe his father was John or James Campbell also born in Down, but no birth info yet. No info on his mother. Gawin probably would have been a farmer, since that's what he was in the US. I would really appreciate it if anyone can help me out. This will be my first venture into my Irish genealogy.
