The Clan Cameron DNA project has one line that has documented descendancy from Cameron of Errach, and thus the Lochiel line if history is correct.

You can confirm your Lochiel links if there is a direct male descendant willing to have his cheek swabbed (no blood) for a DNA test.

Check on the Clan Cameron website every now and then as the web pages are in the process of being updated.

We have several Camerons who show close links to the Erracht/ Lochiel line who have migrated through Quebec between the mid 1700s and early 1800s.
