In COLONIAL AND REVOLUTIONARY FAMILIES OF PENNSYLVANIA (1911), by John W. Jordan, Volume 3, page 1618, it is stated: "James Caldwell --- came from Newton-Stewart, Parish of Ardshaw, County Tyrone, Ireland, in 1736. He settled in Little Britain Township, Lancaster County, Pa. He was probably too old to take any active part in the Revolution, in which four of his sons participated." The names of the four sons are given as John, James, Oliver and William. I would appreciate ANY information on these men, especially William.
