Hi there,
I found this post as I, myself, am looking for more information as well on the Calas. I believe the Shannon on here is my cousin, I'm wondering who gypsie is. To my knowledge, I am the youngest grandchild of S Edward Cala ( of the San Francisco cala food brothers) son of Linda S. Cala. I'm extremely curious to know more about that side of the family and the history around it. Please contact me at origzefhix@hotmail.com Thanks so much!!!

Hi Sarajo,

My father is the Big Joe you mention in your posts.

The other last names I have of relatives are Umberto, (Milano) Giomeeti (Genova) and Trusso (Tortorici)

I visited Ann Sardis when she was caring for my Grandmother, Margaret Cala, about 30 years ago.

Rebecca 'Cala" Craig

My grandparents were Guiseppe and Rosaria Cala from San Cataldo Sicily. They came to U.S. and went to Pennsylvania but then made Rochester, NY their home
