Hi George,
I don't know any Cakes in BC Canada where I am from that aren't related to me, my brother Brent, my dad Bob his brothers Glen and Jack and sisters Bev and Dona. My grandparents were John (Johnny) Cake and his life long partner Aggie. John was from Newfoundland as were his parents. His grandparents were from England or Wales or Scotland or ? nobody seems to remember :). That's all I know about where I'm from on that side of the family so far - I am hoping to trace my ancestry as far back as possible.

It was great to hear from you. 13 brothers and sisters - WOW! Odds are pretty good we may be related :)!My grandfather - John Cake - passed away in 1985 after a heart-attack and two strokes. He would have been about 73-75 today.I hope your dad is doing well. At 84 he must have a book full of stories to tell, I'd love to hear some. My E-dress is jimcake@home.com - take care and talk to you later.
