I always new my Grandfather, Fred Drahn was married before he married my Grandmother. From the Stone County, MO WEB page, I learned he was married to a Callie Caise, Oct 6, 1895.

They had a daughter, Modina, who died when she was 18.

The family story was the first wife was a German/Russian immigrant who had a family in Russia. The immigration people sent her back and Grandpa kept the daughter.
The story is pretty fishy, but I can find no trace of Callie. I have one possibility and that is a possible death certificate for Modina. She died in Idaho.

Does anyone have Callie in their family tree? Does anyone have a story about Germans going to Russia and then being kicked out and immigrating to America?
