my Cahill family (John and Anne)came from Virginia Co Cavan and settled in Wigan around the 1870s. Son John (B.1860) became a mariner and married an Irish lass Mary Anne Kenney and settled in Bootle Nr Liverpool, this couple were my maternal grandmothers parents.Johns brothers and sisters were Bridget and James 1859, Thomas 1857,and Rose 1860. We have no knowledge of what became of these siblings Any one out there recognise this family ?
