According to what I have Sarah Cahall would have been a cousin to my descendants. In 1858 Perry Cahall (my great great grandfather) was born in Brown County, Ohio to Thomas Cahall Jr. and Rachel Kilpatrick, both born, raised, and passed away in Brown County, Ohio.

Because she was born on the East Coast, my guess would be she is a descendant of one of James Cahall and Ellender Lyon Cahall's children because they lived on the East Coast for some time and then eventually settled in southern Ohio before their deaths in 1851 and 1848.
Their males sons, who could have maybe never relocated with them are Solomon Cahall married Elizabeth Parker, James Cahall married Margaret Parker, William Cahall unknown wife, John Cahall unknown wife, Adam Cahall married Sarah Bastion.

I totally agree we should meet up. I am researching my hubby's side of the family. I have been in contact with Kristine, and would love to see all of your notes.

Cahall family reunion??

Boy, am I glad I kept reading through all these messages. I have no idea if we connect - I married a Cahill. We live in Henry County, Virginia. John Cahill moved here in 1780's or so -- was a large landowner, etc. The family legend is that he and his brother came down from "up north" - Maryland or New York. Coincidently, there is an Edward Cahall in the next county east of us - Pittsylvania. same time period of entry 1780's. I have not done any research on him at all but, was heading that way this next week - to snoop around some. My John's first son is Edward Peregrine - putting the Edward connection more intriguing. Our strong given names are Peregrine, Jesse, Thomas, John. Anybody see any connections? Thanks!
