I just found a prayer card for my uncle, John which says he died at the Battle of Jutland, May 31, 1916, age 33, leaving wife Margaret. His name is mis-spelled as Calahane on the card. He was born in Skibbereen. His brother, my grandfather Jeremiah, came to the US as did several sisters. Their parents were Jeremiah and Mary (Collins) Cahalane. Does anyone out there know anything about this John or the family?
