Joseph Cadarette was born in Amherstburg, Ontario, Febuary 19, 1887. Mary is looking for any any and all information about her grandfather. It is presumed that he was of Native American decent; Wyandot.

I am researching my great grandmother's family - Louisa Cadoret. She was also born in Amherstburg (also known prior to becoming the town as Fort Malden).
It appears that the family - even brothers may have used various spellings of the name over the years - Cadoret, Cadarette or Cadorette to name three. I would be happy to exchange information I have. The Marsh Collection in Amherstburg would be invaluable to your research. They are very helpful. I was interested that you believe there is an Indian connection and would be interested to know if you have any story or history to that. Cadoret (and the varied spellings) I believed to be a French Surname. I will check the info I have on Joseph around that time. Feel free to contact me.

I had a Great Uncle Joseph Lesperance, his brother was George, my Grandfather.
His sister was Maggie.

They were born in or around Tecumseh, Ontario, Maidstone Township.
George was born around 1883 in Tecumseh or Maidstone Township. He died 1949 in Windsor.
May have been registered in Sandwich East Township, now part of Windsor
Hope this is helpful.

Joseph was my great-grandfather. The son
(my grandfather) is named Arthur Edward. This
particular spelling is on his death certificate.
Arthur's first wife was Alice Marie Kocker, his
second wife was Florence B. Frankhouse. Arthur
died June 1, 1970. The death certificate gives
Arthur's date of birth as Feb. 19, 1897 and
according to my mother he was born in Amherstberg, ON.
Arthur's mother was Elma Bastien. This is all the info
we have. If you think you have any information that might
help please send an email
Thank You
Mary

Hi from Australia, I am trying to locate my Grandmother's ancestors. Her name is recorded as Rita Lesperade which I feel may be Lesperance miss-spelt. Her Father we can find no trace of and the only info is that he arrived in Australia from/via New Zealand at 21 and he spoke French. We thought he was french/polynesian but it is quite possibe he has come from Canada. Mayby you have a missing link, or know of someone who does??
PHILLIP HEDGER b 19/9/1894 married 25/9/1920 to RITA LESPERADE b 26/2/1898
Any help appreciated and and if you need further info please contact me.
Regards Greg

Hi. Do you know if your uncle Joseph was also born in the 1880's and whether or not he may have had a child with an Indian woman? Or anyone else in your family that may have been born about that time that could have taken up with and possibly married an Indian woman? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks/

Hello~
I am the grandaughter of William Joseph Cadarette. He was born in the 1900's and died in the 1990's. His father was Louis Cadarette, of Alpena, Michigan. (I have more accurate information at home...I'm visiting a family in Toronto, and decided to look up my relatives). I believe Louis was from Canada, and we understood he was part Indian.

William has a sister, Mable, who is still alive, also born some time in the 1900's. Their father, Alexander, I am told, is buried in Ludington Michigan.

I would like to be in touch with anyone that can give me more information regarding the Cadarette's. I heard that Louis was French Indian, and his wife (unsure of name right now) was French.

I would love to have any more information to locate any relatives I may have in the area, and provide you with further Cadarette info from my family. Thank you!

Hello. I am trying to help a person to find info about his family who moved from Norway to USA.

I`ve got info that his ancestors wife(his ancestor and wife was devorced) was married with a man named Joseph Cadarette 57 years old in 1920. And that is the same age, and same name as your GGrandfater.

She (Minnie, Maggie?47 years old 1920) was first married by a man named Thomas Torkildsen, they got daughters Diane/Diana(she was married a short time by a person named Malotte, they got a son Norman Malotte) born 1893, and Tomina(born 1905) whos husbands name was Barnett.

It would have been great if "your" Joseph is the correct one, then you maybe can help me??
I have really problems to find info about people who still are alive, from this family.

I look forward to your answere!

Greetings from Mariann in Norway.
