The Native American part of the ancestry is fascinating. I hope we can find a connection. Most of this greater family of Coles were abolitionists, some of whom took part in underground railroad operations there in Liberty Center. My ggg grandfather James C. Coles lived on Otter Creek, just the other side of Liberty Center. I think they were probably with the Madora Post Office. They were just a short walk from the Christian Neck Cemetery there, but right across the bridge there from Liberty Center. Had some folks in my file who lived in Otter Creek Twsp. too.
