I want to know at what point my family name was changed to Caccamise. My relatives here in the USA are positive that we originated in Caccamo. Please send me an email of how I can get information.

Hello!

My Grandfather was one of 8 other children from Joseph Caccamo and Nicoletta Napolitano. Joseph hailed from sicily (he told everyone calabria LOL) They moved here in the early 1900s I believe, came into New York and stayed here. We have a lot of family thoughout Long Island and the surrounding areas!

There are quite a bit of us. Who is your Grandfather?

Hello. My paternal grandfather, whom I have never met, is Ralph Caccamo. I'm told he was born in Sicily, but his family moved to California when he was young. If anyone has any information about him, it would be appreciated.

My Grandfather was Anthony Caccamo. He brought his family from Hollywood Florida to California back in 1926 or so. If this is the right Caccamo, he had a son, my uncle that was named Ralph. He had 5 brothers and sisters and they all lived in the San Jose, Ca area for quite some time. Ralph's siblings were Verna, Grace Rose or Valentine, Edward and Mary, AKA Vincenta. Edward had another name but, I am sorry, I can't remember it. I was so young, I remember my Uncle as a wonderful man and I loved to sit on his lap but he died when I was very young. I think he had a heart attack in the bath tub. Edward and Mary (Connolly) moved their families to the Visalia, CA area where several of the children now live. If this is the correct Ralph, let me know and I will try to give you more information.

Ralph's mother was Adelina Spinelli, whose mother remarried to a Finelli. They were from the San Francisco, CA area and I was told they were from the upper class in SF.Anthony, or Ralph's father had a plastering business in the San Jose and Willow Glen area. They also had some sort of business in the LA area when he was killed during the great depression.

This is what I know and it may be right or close to the story but I didn't know many of that generation that I remember.

My mother was the youngest sibling of Ralph and her married name was Connolly.Verna's married name was Pace and she was the oldest sibling of Raph's. Grace's married name was Lewis and Rose or Valentine went by Hogaboam but she did not have any children.

Hope this helps.

My mother was from the Caccamo family that moved from Sicily. Anthony was her father and he came to the US on a ship with his father but his father died and he was here on his own as a teenager. He married in Hollywood Florida and had a family of six children; Verna, Grace, Ralph, Edward, Valentine (Rose, and Mary, (Vincentia). They moved to the San Francisco bay area after my mother, Mary was born. They located in San Jose.

If this is the right family, let me know and I will do my best to share.
