My name is Gary Cacace and I'm located in Westchester County in New York. I'm about 45 miles north of Manhattan. My father's name is Murray, and he was born in this country; however, his father (my grandfather) was from Sorrento (his name was Mariano? I need to double check). He was one of five brothers who came across from Sorrento to the States. Again, my father has more information than I do, and I can probably get more detail if you're interested. Also, I have a brother, Richard, in Florida.
Nice to meet you! Happy holidays...
--Gary
P.S. In this area of NY, there are LOTS of Cacace's. In fact, the court house in Yonkers, NY is named the "Robert W. Cacace Justice Center". Big bold letters on the building! Cool, huh? BTW, Robert was a judge in Yonkers.

Hi Gary, I'm also in Westchester Co. (New Rochelle) and I'm very interested in what your father could tell you. My Grandfather was George Cacase and his father before him was Ercole Cacace, who ended up in Brooklyn, NY. In the 1909 directory for Brooklyn, it shows 3 Cacace's: Frank, Ercole, Louis. Have you heard any of these names? My Grandfather had a brother named Tavi (Octavio) and two sisters, Celeste and Meta. I'd love to hear from you!

Hi Gary, I'm new to this website and have been browsing the Cacace messages and thought I'd take a closer look at yours since you are a Westchester Co. resident. I thought perhaps you'd be one of Judge Robert's sons. Bobby was one of my first cousins and when I came east last summer my sister Caron and I drove around that courthouse area 4x looking for a parking place jus tto see that plaque. Hard to believe, a building dedicated to Bob. My father's name was Orlando and he was a twin. I found his brother Armando in the SSDI, but not dad. Well, anyway, hello. Denise

Tony, some of your cousins have already been working on a family history. I was just talking to your Aunt Terri about it when I was in town last week. I have lots of family pictures all the way from your great great grandparents. Call me in Medford at 541 776 6972

Hi again, I just looked more into my information and found that your father was my uncle, married to Maery (Moriarity) and the parents of yourself, Caron, Rosemary, and Michelle. Hopefully, we can help each other fill in some missing pieces of the puzzle.
