Searching for my grand-fathers brother...
My name is Patricia Caballero and my grand-father told me he came from Barcelona, Spain via Mexico into the US. His brother stayed in Texas and he moved to California. Since my grand-father died in 1972, I would love to find his relatives. My Uncle Frank is the one of his children alive and it would be good for him to know his father's relatives. If you have any information, would love to hear from you.... Sincerely, Patricia Caballero

Re: Searching for my grand-fathers brother...
I thought I would send you a messege and let you know a little about my grand-father. He was a very strong and big man. He had blue eyes, and very light skinned. He worked for the rail-road most of his life; however, eventually he picked oranges for a living and took care of his family with great pride. He was not a sweet man, he was very stern and something short of a dictator. We all loved him because he was usually right.... he died seating up in his rocker... stern and proud to the end... for most part, us Caballero's are a very big-family and successful business people... Keep in touch, Pat

Re: Searching for my grand-fathers brother...
hello I have a tip Daniel Gonzales is listed as having a father Luz Caballero born about 1880 died on 25 Nov 1936 and is listed as being buried at the same cemetery as your grandfather, I think he was a brother. The only difference is that for mother it has Concepcion Gonzales and Luz(Lina Gonzales) but as I have seen doing my own research they switch back and forth with middle names. Hope I helped. Re: Searching for my grand-fathers brother...
Genoveva, my grandfathers name was Arnulfo Cresencio Montalvo Zardeneta married Delfina Caballero Salinas from Jimenez, Tamaulipas. I believe my grandpa's mom's name was Dolores Zardeneta (don't know his fathers name). Grandma's parents were Amado Caballero and Francisca Saldivar. My grandparents had 12 children. If any of this sounds familiar pls. let me know. Thank you. Lauren
