I am trying to locate any information on Morris BYRUM, allegedly born about 1800 in Kentucky, his wife, Martha WHITLOW (born about 1810, Kentucky) and their alleged son, William BYRUM, born about 1850 in Missouri (possibly Shelby County). Morris Byrum and Martha Whitlow were married on 20 August 1838, in Logan County, Kentucky. Morris Byrum made several land purchases in Monroe and Shelby Counties, Missouri between 1835 and 1838; he may have moved there with his family (including children Lucy, John, Emma and Millie Byrum) shortly before 1850. After that, I cannot locate further information or the death date/place for Morris Byrum. An entry for a widow, Martha Byrum (born 1810/Kentucky) and her son, William Byrum (born 1850/Missouri) appear in the Census of 1880, Jefferson Twp., Shelby County, Missouri - there is no further information for either of them after that date.
