Classification: Query
Surnames: Burns Byrnes Thomas Gillespie
Hi folks,
I am descended from Charles and Bridget's son Charles(1846) and am wondering if there's anyone here who has more info on them... any other descendents of this Burns family(or know of ancestors for them)... it's possible that the earlier spelling of the name could be Byrnes, but we only have only had the Burns spelling. Bridget's prts were Mary Gillespie and John Thomas. I am interested in the Burns line mainly. Bridget died in Glasgow harbour from drowning but I am unsure of where or when Charles died, Bridget is listed as 'widow' at the time of her death in 1885 and he was still alive in 1861 on the census. Their eldest son James isn't listed om the census, he was born in Donegal, Ireland in 1838. The younger child Henry, b. 1850 Glasgow is not on it either... may have been deceased(?) at that point as I have no further info on him.
