Does anyone have any information on Mary Byrne/Byrnes, wife of James Kavanagh.

The couple had one son Daniel, born c.1807. Probably more children but this is the only one known about at the moment. Daniel named first son James and third son Thomas (possible brothers?).

Daniel was a blacksmith, so father James may also have been a blacksmith.

Birthplace of Daniel unknown but oral family history says Avoca, but not proven. He married at Glendalough (Margaret Murphy) and the family has been definitely placed at Coolbeg, Glenealy, from at least 1847 to 1854, where one of his neighbours was a Byrne. Emmigrated to Australia in 1858.

Oral family history also says that Daniel had a brother, James, who was a Professor of Mathematics (a teacher perhaps) and who may have gone to America.
