Has anyone done research on the BIRD/BYRD Family in Black Mountain area and Mcdowell County, North Carolina from the early 1800's? My 4th great grandmother was Mary Ann Byrd and I am interested in putting together all of the Byrd family to determine who was related to Mary Ann. Also one of her brother in laws married another Byrd and I am pretty sure they were either sisters or related in another way.
