Hi Sharon , My name is Bessie Bynes I have no idea what generation I am. I was born to Bessie And Albert Bynes Jr. My father was from Gough and born in 1921. He was the youngest and eight child of the late Albert Bynes Sr and Rachel Lawson Bynes. To our knowlege he was the only son. I am getting this info from his obituary . He pased in Dec 1989. Sometime in 1972 I moved from Bflo ny to NYC and began working at a factory. I saw a women everyday with a halo over her head. I had to ask her what the light was her ans was It's God. I told her I wanted this lightand our freindship began.Next day she gave me and invitation to the 75th annual Bynes FAMILY RENION IN FL ON THE 4TH OF JULY UP UNTIL THEN I had not heard of any other Bynes I was 20 at that time. I called home rightaway and talk to my Father and he said he had no idea who these people were . I told him that we must be related they were from Gough but he offered nothing. We have no idea who we are and where we come from. I am 58 and live in Phx. While living in Fl in 1989 I met the only Blk Curcuit Judge and when he aked my name he called the rest of his party over to me and told them I was a Bynes. They found it hard to belive. until I told them where my Father was from He told me the Bynes fly was very prominet and that there were many of us, shorly after I met him My father took ill and passed away in Dec of that yr
I never heard the name again until Amanda BYnes came on the seen. I saw other Bynes on fb but I've never been to family reunion on either side. Just yesterday I accepted other Bynes not knowing them and Malcom Bynes called me and told me he had been rescearching and knew of many clans imagine that, we talked for awhile so today I started on my own search and I found you. I have 2 brothers and 4 sisters all of us are 10 mths apart We buried the last of my father sisters the day after easter in bflo. Now that I found you and Malcom I can start learning who we are and where we come from. Before he died My father showed me a cemetery in Ga and said this is where our ancestors were buried I was probably 13 at the time. I feel so blessed that I have found you. If you have time I would really appreciate you helping me on on this journey before I die. I have no clue where to begin . His sisters ame were Elizabeth Cobbs Francis Jefferson (I heard a story that as a child she when she got sick that the Doctor would come to her because his last name was Bynes and he didn't want her in his office she looked like a little white women this was in Gough where they grew up ) then there was Julia Walker Married to Willie Albert , and Daisy Gordon He had one cousin Jesse Jackson and Florence Marlowe his next older sister all are deceased He went to Fisrt Baptist Church and sang in a gospel Quartet which I belive at he time was popular. I never saw any pics of my grandfather he was deceased before I was born This is all I know of our Family Can you help?
