Descendants of Christopher BYMASTER for DNA

We are looking for a male BYMASTER descendant of Christopher BYMASTER and his wife Margera Culvertson of eastern PA, OH, and points west, for a possible DNA study. Our family legend is that our BUOYMASTER family is related to this BYMASTER family, and, as we have been unable to find any trace of our ancestor's roots in eastern PA, we are hoping a DNA study of BYMASTER, BOWMASTER and BOWERMASTER males might show the connections, if any, between those lines, all of which were in York, Lancaster, Cumberland, and Adams County, PA, areas in the late 1700s, early 1800s.
If you are, or know, a male of the BYMASTER surname, interested in finding the possible connections, and willing to pursue this through DNA testing, please contact me privately.

Rosa Ellen Bymaster and William Cook

I am researching a rather large McDaniel family and one of the descendants is Rosa Ellen Bymaster, daughter of William Bymaster and Sarah McDaniel. They lived in the Hendricks and Montgomery County, IN, area. They also had a son named James T. Bymaster that married Kate Wilson.

Rosa married William Cook on 10 Jan 1882 in Hendricks County, IN.

I do find a William Cook and Rosie (along with six children) in Montgomery County in 1910 but wish to confirm if that is indeed the right family.

Does anybody have this family in their files?

Contact me at chartemp@aol.com

I am so happy to have found you. I have been searching for Rosa and William Cook's parents for quite sometime and just this evening found enough proof to say that Rosa's parents were William and Sarah Bymaster. I did not, however, have her maiden name and currently have no info on her ancestors. I do have a son for William and Rosa, Harry Edgar Cook (1892-1984). I would love to have the info you have on the rest of their children. Please contact me at hollymcguire@tds.net

I also have info on Harry's family.

Holly McGuire

David Bymaster

James,
The sources of information I have had on the Bymaster family were the Lambeth family history and census records, where I found 2 Davids, John, Lucy, and Julia. I was using the index, so I couldn't tell the relationship of David and David. From what you have said, I think my guess that one David was the father of the others would be correct. (Need to see the full census record.) They were all together, so I think you have hit the nail on the head. Where did you find the info on the elder David Bymaster and Anna Berry?

Bymasters of PA, OH, IN, MO

I have additional information about Lucy Bymaster and her family that I hope will ring a bell with someone: Lucy Bymaster was born in about 1837, her sister Julia in about 1839, and her brother, John, in about 1830. The family came from PA through OH and IN to southwestern MO. John worked on building the Frisco RR there. Both Lucy and Julia married into the Lambeth family.

I am seeking information on my gggrandmother, Lucy Bymaster, who married Albert Judson Lambeth in the New Salem area of Indiana. They moved from Indiana to Missouri sometime after 1867 and eventually settled in Logan, near Marionville. All I know about Lucy is that she had a sister, Julia, who also married a Lambeth, and a brother,John, who worked on construction of the railroad through southwestern Missouri. I would greatly appreciate any leads. Thanks!
