Hi,
Researching Tennessee Byas family, my husbands
ancestor is Caswell Byas born 1836 in Nashville,
Tennessee married 1854 to Tabitha Standifer.
His mother is supposedly has a maiden name of
Euton don't know his father's name. There
is also a family tale that this strand of
the Byas family owned a Tennessee Coal Mine.
Sound familiar to anyone? Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Roy,
How wonderful to hear from you. My husband is
an actual Byas. I got interested in his genealogy
when our daughter had to do a family history project
but was not able to find much on his side of the
family. I would really like to correspond.
My direct e-mail is PBYAS@tnrcc.state.tx.us
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Roy please contact me directly at hoffert@nccoast.net regarding Bias History. I am building a Bias Repository and have history on the Bias form VA/WV. Because both groups NC VA were in USA in the 1700s and I believe the roots of both may be from the same lineage. Let's compare some info and see if we can determine if this is possible Probable.
