My great grandparents George Bussey and Amanda Cunningham-Bussey (born during slavery) lived in Parksville which is in Edgefield County. My grandmother Eddie Mae was the youngest of 13 children. She had cousins Charley, Georgia, Matt, John and Sally Bussey. (Sallys married name was Vine) Their grandmother was Aunt Lucy. Their father was Henry Bussey who I believed was George's brother. The other cousins were John, Joe, nicknamed Sugar and Honey and another brother Walter (they moved to Harlem) there last name was Thompson. The entire family moved to Brooklyn New York, most living in Sheepshead Bay. My grandmother had a sister Dora Briggs. Dora's children were Buddy, Minnie the only two I knew. Buddy lived in Detroit and Minnie was in Florida. My grandmothers brothers and sisters were Dennis, Fred, Lawrence, Gegertha, Victoria, Kate, Georgia and Carrie.
