CHILLICOTHE: Harold A. Bussey, 61, of Chillicothe, Ohio passed away at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 in OSU Hospitals, Columbus following a courageous battle against cancer.
He was born January 15, 1950, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to Willis L. and Verna Ruth Waychoff Bussey.
On June 8, 1976, he married the former Lydia C Eblin who survives; also surviving are sons, Shawnn A. (Becky J.) Bussey and Shane Lee Bussey, both of Chillicothe, Ohio; grandchildren, Shawnn Allen Bussey, Jr., Brandonn Lee Bussey, Shane Levi Bussey and Michael Travis Smith, all of Chillicothe; mother and stepfather, Verna Ruth and Dan Flowers, of Chillicothe; a brother, James L. (Debbie) Bussey, of Columbus, OH; a sister, Judy A. (James) Lowe, of Perkinston, MS; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Willis Bussey; and a brother, Charles Bussey.
Harold served in the U.S. Army in Germany, worked for ODRC at the Ohio Penitentiary, PCI and was the founder of Mountaineer Appliance.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Rick Hartley officiating.
Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County, Ohio Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
