Wilmington — Stephen F. Bushy, 52, died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
He was born in Keene Valley on May 3, 1947, the son of Warren and Genevieve (Courtney) Bushy.
He graduated from Harlem Valley School of Nursing in 1974 and had worked as a registered nurse in Albany, Keene Valley and Saranac Lake hospitals until 1994. For the past five years, he was employed at the Grand Union in Lake Placid.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Bushy designed and built his own home on Springfield Road in Wilmington. He enjoyed gourmet cooking and excelled in working with computers.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid on Tuesday, April 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 12, at 11 a.m at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid, with the Rev. Linda McIntyre, pastor of the Whiteface United Methodist Church, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wilmington Volunteer Rescue Squad.
