country and region of origin for Busey arrivals of c. 1653

Presently, I'm not looking at my family records, therefore I'll not reference the names of each of my direct paternal grandfather/ancestors, but I first began research on my family tree about 20 years ago. Am most certain of the direct descent relation to those who migrated from Maryland after about 70-80 years and settled where the Yadkin River forks in North Carolina in 1700's, then traveled with a Boone party migrating to Kentucky, mine to Shelby County, KY in latter 1700's (e.g., Arthur), then to Champaign-Urbana, Ill.(Isaac), then to Memphis, Missouri, and eventually my own birth in Tulsa, OK. Where I met with uncertainty was in the family beginnings on the continent, namely Calvert County, Maryland, where I was discouraged by a report of a courthouse fire which consumed 17th century public records/documents containing Busey information, thereby obstructing my research. Does anyone know with any degree of certainty where this family line lived in the old country? Of course, I gathered the lion's share of my initial findings from/in the genealogy room at Busey Public Library in Urbana. And it's been a while since I've attempted fresh research, but I'd sure appreciate replies from any of you beloved cousins out there concerning this matter.
