He would have been my grandfather 5 or 6 generations removed. I recently was successful in tracing the family tree .William and Ann had a son James born in 1777. He had a son Richard,,one of several and Richard has a son Charles,Charles had a son Melville, Melville had a son Winfield, who was my father.
